Denise graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering and Technology from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, NE. Prior to joining Safex, Denise worked for a large construction company as the environmental coordinator and safety manager for a hydroelectric plant construction site. She performed environmental and safety audits and reported all results to the corporate offices as well as federal and local environmental & safety agencies. Her previous experiences include compliance reporting, weekly inspections and employee training. In addition she was a LEED Coordinator for a construction company that included coordinating LEED certification with clients, design and construction teams, training employees on the LEED Green Building Rating System and maintaining documentation for certification.

 

While at Safex, Denise is the safety representative for construction of a hydroelectric power plant. She acts as the liaison between the owner and contractor’s onsite management for safety. Her experience includes hazard analysis for job tasks, onsite inspections, incident investigations and safety and health recordkeeping.
