Jason Waite

Safety Specialist

Jason Waite graduated from the University of Findlay with a BS in Environmental Safety and Occupational Health. While attending the University of Findlay, Jason’s intern experience included working with Stone Environmental Engineering and EES Group. Some of his activities with these consultants included collecting soil samples and groundwater samples, oversight of environmental remedial activities, and completion of environmental site assessments.

Prior to joining Safex, Jason worked as an environmental and safety specialist for Owens Corning.  In this role he implemented the health and safety programs of a facility of approximately 200 employees. While at Owens Corning, Jason also facilitated safety training for programs like fall protection, confined space entry, machine guarding, lockout-tagout, and powered industrial vehicles. In this role he also had the opportunity to lead kaizens focused around reducing risk and workers compensation costs.

Since he has been at Safex, Jason has conducted mold assessments, written health and safety plans and assisted in health and safety training.

Jason is a graduate of the Owens Corning Environmental and Safety Development Program.  He has completed the OSHA 30-hour Occupational Safety and Health Training for General Industry and the OSHA 40-hour Hazardous Waste Site Worker Training.
