Mindy Russell

Industrial Hygienist

Mindy graduated with a B.S. in Industrial Hygiene from Ohio University in 2004. Mindy joined the Safex team after six years as an industrial hygienist with SkyeTec in Jacksonville, Florida. While with them, Mindy has conducted assessments for mold and other air contaminants such as volatile organic compounds, metals, radon, carbon monoxide, asbestos, formaldehyde, and particulates in residences, schools, and businesses. She has also conducted biological surface sampling following remediation of black water losses.
 
Mindy has conducted indoor environmental air surveys to evaluate moisture intrusion and airborne and surface fungal concentrations in various commercial properties and residential properties, including properties following Hurricane Katrina. Mindy has advised customers on remediation and has also developed remediation protocols and conducted post remediation indoor air quality evaluations. Mindy has provided regulatory interpretation of OSHA standards to customers.
Mindy has also conducted evaluations on residential and commercial properties during the framing stage of construction and post construction for areas of potential air and moisture intrusion.
 
In Florida, Mindy is a Radon Specialist, Class 1, 2, and 3 Energy Rater and LEED for homes verifier. She is NIOSH 582 certified and certified as an Asbestos Supervisor in Florida.
