General Industry Walking-Working Surfaces/Fall Protection Training
July 25 @ 7:30 am - 12:00 pm$100
OSHA’s walking-working surfaces standard requires that exposed employees must be trained on fall hazards. While new regulations often mean more hassles, this standard actually gives employers more flexibility when selecting a fall protection system. Not only will our walking-working surfaces training help your fulfill the training requirement, but we’ll explain the new options OSHA allows for keeping workers safe on walking-working surfaces.
Safex’s half-day course for general industry will cover:
-Administrative changes in 29 CFR 1910 Subpart D
-How the standard allows employers more flexibility on walking-working surfaces (e.g., defined distances from a leading edge)
-Identifying and selecting appropriate fall protection and restraints (lanyards, rope grabs, harnesses, self-retractable life lines, etc.)
-Installing and properly using fall protection equipment
-Requirements of guarding lines (access, set up, type, etc.)
-Requirements and hazards with the use of ladders
-Recognizing site hazards (holes, leading edge, electrical, etc.)
This training does not qualify attendees as a competent person.
