Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral fiber that was once commonly used in building materials and products for its thermal properties and fire resistance. Lead is a naturally occurring element found in the earth’s crust and widely used in many processes today.
During this virtual training, we’re going to
- Identify and describe hazards associated with exposure
- Identify work areas and building materials that may contain asbestos and lead
- Understand safe work practices, as well as training requirements
The tool provided with this course will offer participants necessary reminders, safe work practices, and other helpful information in maintain awareness around asbestos and lead.
