Noise and Hearing Conservation (virtual training)

Millions of workers are exposed to noise in the workplace every day, but workplace noise-induced hearing loss is preventable! In this two-hour course, we will go over how noise affects hearing and health, how chemicals can combine with noise to affect hearing, and the components of a hearing conservation program, including controls, hearing protector selection, and the audiogram process.

At the end of the course, attendees should be able to:

• Identify risk factors for noise-induced hearing loss in their workplace
• Determine what components of the OSHA Noise Standard apply to their workplace
• Identify the components of a hearing conservation program
• Use noise monitoring data to determine what employees may be at risk for workplace noise-induced hearing loss

Attendees will receive a certificate following completion of a brief survey.
