The 8-hour Permit Required Confined Space course presented by Safex Inc. provides attendees with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience to plan safe entry and work within a permit required confined space. We’ll use a combination of classroom instruction and practical hands-on exercises with our indoor permit required confined space simulator to prepare attendees for typical confined space hazards.

Working around exposed live conductors can be dangerous. The instructors at Safex will teach attendees the importance of assessing both shock hazard and arc flash hazards so that they can reduce the likelihood of injury. Understanding arc flash and its potential hazards is critical to assessing risk and making a safe plan for a potentially catastrophic incident. A qualified electrical worker must understand labeling on electrical systems, how to inspect, care for and wear PPE are required practices when working with electricity.This training will cover safe work practices as outlined in the current National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) 70E Consensus Standard for Electrical Safety Requirements in the Workplace.
This combination course will cover NFPA 70e: Arc Flash Aware and Electrical Work Safety, including safe work practices as outlined in the current National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) 70E Consensus Standard for Electrical Safety Requirements in the Workplace, as well as Lockout Tagout Authorized Employees.Lunch will be provided for those attending the full day.This is a combination course. Two (2) hours of virtual supervisor training in the physical, behavioral, speech and performance indicators of the possible misuse of alcohol and other drugs.Meets requirements for Ohio BWC Drug-Free Safety Program Basic and Advanced first year supervisor training and is reimbursable through the Substance Use Recovery and Workplace Safety Program.
This course will be developed to meet the requirements of the OSHA 1910.147 regulations and will be presented in a varied format including lecture, audiovisuals, and hands-on demonstrations.
Anyone who ships dangerous goods by air (e.g., lithium batteries, dry ice, explosives, flammable materials) should attend this training.
Shipping dangerous goods by air can be a high-risk area of business. Understanding the regulations and learning how to dot the “i”’s and cross the “t”’s are important elements to ensuring proper delivery and compliance.
IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations Section 1.5 requires training every 2 years.
