OSHA Proposes Revision to Eye and Face Protection Standards

OSHA’s proposed rule would update personal protective equipment requirements to incorporate the latest ANSI eye and face protection standards. In addition, OSHA has proposed to change language in the construction eye and face protection standard to make it consistent with both the general industry and maritime standards.

The notice of proposed rulemaking, published in the March 13 Federal Register, would revise OSHA’s eye and face protection standards for general industry, construction, shipyard employment, longshoring and marine terminals. The proposed changes can be viewed here.
