Safex’s International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods training teaches current and proper documentation, classification, and handling requirements for offering and accepting shipments containing dangerous goods by air, in accordance with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR).
Learning Objectives: at the completion of the training, participants are expected to be able to:
- Describe the IATA standards for shipping dangerous goods by air
- Properly classify and identify dangerous goods
- Prepare packages for air shipment in accordance with IATA DGR
- Mark and label dangerous goods shipments
- Accurately complete a Shipper’s Declaration for Dangerous Goods
- Respond appropriately to a hazardous materials incident
