Innovation, philanthropy, sustainability and health at the core of the businesses success

Safex, a respected leader in the industrial hygiene, environmental and occupational health and safety industry, has been named as the Westerville Chamber of Commerce 2018 Small Business of the Year. Safex will be recognized alongside additional award winners at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon on Jan. 31 at the Renaissance Westerville – Polaris. The Chamber selected Safex for this honor based on the company’s consistent innovative and philanthropic mindset as well as its commitment to sustainability and employee health. “We are excited our Westerville community is recognizing what our company is doing in the form of innovation and giving back,” said Dianne Grote Adams, MS, CIH, CSP, CPEA, President. “We strive to continue fostering a growth atmosphere for our employees as well as doing our part in giving back to Westerville.” Safex routinely supports other Westerville companies by using services provided by Westerville businesses whenever possible. The company also encourages volunteering by supporting employees who routinely use on and off work hours to help Westerville area non-profits. Those volunteer initiatives include making blankets for children in foster care for My Very Own Blanket, collecting funds and food for Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM), and providing landscaping help at the Scioto-Audubon Metro Park. As a GreenSpot certified business, Safex is committed to sustainability through use of solar panels, recycling, and composting at its business location. Safex is also committed to employee health. The company offers an onsite gym with discounted personal training to its employees to encourage healthy lifestyles. “We are grateful to be a part of such a wonderful community and hope to continue growing and giving back for many years to come,” said Grote Adams. “We look forward to celebrating with the other great businesses that make Westerville a great place to work and live.”
