Safex has been recognized by Columbus Business First as #62 on their list of Central Ohio’s Largest Family Owned Business. Celebrating its 30th year of business, Safex was founded by Dianne Grote Adams to keep workers safe and on the job. The business employs 23 people and offers environmental, health and safety consulting services to manufacturers, municipalities and the construction industry.
There are five family members involved in the business, holding responsibilities from information technology to accounting.
“To me, the best part of working at Safex is the family part. When you work so closely with your actual family, you begin to see all of your coworkers in the same way. Every team member at Safex is part of the family, whether we’re related or not, and we treat each other accordingly,” shares Chris Adams, son of Safex President Dianne Grote Adams.
Safex is active with the Conway Center for Family Business.
