OSHA Recordkeeping Update

The world of record keepers is abuzz with the latest news from OSHA. The Department of Labor is billing the proposed record keeping amendment as one that will better protect personally identifiable information.

Employers with 250 or more employees will no longer be required to submit OSHA Forms 300 and 301 if the amendment is passed. However, the 300A summary form is still required. OSHA believes this proposal “maintains safety and health protections for workers, protects privacy and reduces the burdens of complying with the current rule.”

OSHA will not be accepting 300 or 301 forms while the rule making is underway,
